A refugee from Kosovo who grew up in Chicago, Kabashi’s sound is steeped in melodic, lyric-forward hip-hop and is touched by Kendrick Lamar, Nas, A Tribe Called Quest, Gangstarr and takes on world politics while exploring the inner ego and the strength of humanity. For Kabashi, music is a critical lens to better see the reality we inhabit. His musical style spans generations, cultures and moods - culminating in versatile productions. Through rich multi-instrumental tracks with creative and direct lyricism Kabashi surfaces compassion over envy, growth over destruction.
